I have been firing the small test kiln today, its only a pile of hti's thrown together but it works fine , and saves me having to fire my big wood fired trolley kiln just to get a few glaze tests out. I have been working on upping my firing temperature over the summer, I have been firing to 1120 for many years now and felt recently that i would like to up the temp, and work on more interaction with the wood flame, on glaze and body. So i am taking the small step and upping the temp to cone 6 over, 1200ish.
