It's been a busy week in the pottery, I've been making teapots and vases, these have been made in stoneware clay, I know I know, what you will say, Nigel has gone over to the dark side. I have always though that the pots I make should fulfill the function I intened them to, and for a long time now I have been worried about the teapots and vases I have been making, in that however well glazed a earthenware pot is, the body is still a bit pourus.I will post photos when they are fired and you can decided if I,ve done the right thing.

Well it's been some time since I posted on my blog. A combination of sheer laziness and technical problems, some of which have been sorted out and some that I just can't seem to shake off.

It's been a bit of a slow start to the year, so cold and so much snow.Workshop to cold and clay frozen, does not make a good combination for creativity, but now it's back to full time potting. Lots of new ides coming through, and I'm really looking forward to the next firing.

I found this video while looking around on youtube the other day, it still sends shudders down my spine when I hear it, reminding me of of a wonderful weekend selling pots at Earth and Fire, Rufford . But I'm sure they have got the date wrong, can it really be 1997 !! no that carn't be right.
